If you’d like to try wet felting for yourself, as well as enjoy a fun day out with something wonderful you’ve made to take home at the end, then come and join me in the studio for a felting workshop. Workshops are suitable for beginners as well as those with existing felting experience who’d like to try out a new technique. You will have a variety of colours and accent fibres to choose from. This class does require some vigorous shaking of the ball and you will be on your feet for a large part of the class. Please provide: Lunch 3 large towels 3 small hand towels a digital kitchen scale
In this 8 hour workshop you will be making a felted bag with hardware and a pocket.
What makes it unique is that it is all wet felted on a ball. All supplies provided. ( We support a local Innisfail fibre farm by purchasing the kits of wool fibres and hardware especially prepared for us in the studio. )
Workshop prices include all tuition and materials. ( Water, tea and coffee are provided free in the studio )
You will have a variety of color choices of wool fibers and accent fibres to choose from
I just ask attendees to bring :
-Their own lunch.
-3 large bath towels
-3 small hand towels
-A waterproof apron
-A kitchen digital scale
Other Considerations to Note Before Booking:
Please note that much of the process of wet felting involves standing up at a worktop-height table to work. I do have stools so that you can take a break and sit to work if you need to, but you’ll find that it’s easier to work standing up. Wet felting is quite an energetic activity so please don’t underestimate the physicality of spending a day largely standing up and moving your upper body a lot.
Please arrive at 9:00 am to be ready to start on time
